We define ourselves as “technical-creatives,” and that already says it all: because, as we know, you are usually one or the other. Being both is no easy task — but it is a challenge we embrace with enthusiasm.

Today, we are proud to share an important new milestone: M.I.P. is a beneficiary of the “Research & Innovate” call, funded under the Regional Programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) 2021–2027 of Regione Lombardia – PR FESR 2021–2027, Action 1.1.1 “Support for Investments in Research, Development and Innovation.”

M.I.P.’s core business is the design and production of molds. However, its versatility and strong drive for innovation have led the company over the years to engage in cross-sector projects as well, including the reeds covered by this investment programme, branded Rogerreeds.

The idea stems from Fabrizio Abbondini’s passion for music and his desire to innovate, with the goal of offering the market a product distinguished by strong Italian identity and a clear international vocation.

The project enabled significant experimental development and process innovation activities aimed at going beyond the state of the art of the product (New Profile reeds), enhancing their durability, responsiveness, stability, and environmental sustainability. This objective was pursued through extensive testing and the development of an optimized blend of components used in production.

This contribution represents tangible support for our vision: a company rooted in technical design that finds one of its most authentic expressions in creativity and music.
